on 30th. July, 1901.

Kong Kai states:-

I am a clansman of Kong Kung Hi and Kong

Ngau Ying. For the last 9 months I have been employed as a Police Constable by Li Ka Cheuk (in Canton).

On 14th. and 15th. November, 1900, I saw

Ng Shui Shang (alias Ng Lo Sam) in Canton at the Lung Mo Temple. Ma Wong Hoi and a number of others were present. Ng Shui Shang said there was a reward of $20,000 for willing Yeung Kui Man.

I agreed to be one of the murderous party.

On 18th. November, I left Canton for Hongkong

with Ma Wong Hoi and a number of others: we reached Hongkong on 19th. November and all went to Ng Shui Shang's house in Wo Fung Street, be sent us to the Yan On Boarding House. At the end of November Ma Wong Hoi and his party left, because there was a warrant out and they dared not stay.

I stayed in Hongkong until 8th. January 1901, when Ng Shui Shang told me that I should not be wanted so I went back to my native place.

While Ma Wong Hoi's party was in Hongkong I beard them plotting the murder of Yeung Kui Wan in Ng Shui Shang' house.
